COMPREHENSIVE ILD SCREEN PANEL Package in Bengaluru Overview

What is COMPREHENSIVE ILD SCREEN PANEL test?

The Comprehensive ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) Screen Panel is a group of blood tests designed to identify the underlying cause of interstitial lung diseases, which are conditions that cause inflammation and scarring of lung tissue.
ILDs can result from autoimmune diseases, infections, or environmental exposures, and this panel helps in differentiating these causes.

This panel measures multiple markers that assess autoimmune, inflammatory, infectious, and allergic factors contributing to ILD.

Parameter Covered: (RHEUMATOID FACTOR , ANA BY IFA (REFLEX TO END TITRE FOR ALL POSITIVE CASES), ANTI- CYCLIC CITRULLINATED, DSDNA, PEPTIDE ANTIBODIES (ANTI-CCP), C-REACTIVE PROTEIN, ANGIOTENSIN CONVERTING ENZYME (ACE), ASPERGILLUS. FUMIGATUSSPECIFIC IGG, ANCA)

Why consider COMPREHENSIVE ILD SCREEN PANEL test?

This COMPREHENSIVE ILD SCREEN PANEL is recommended to:

  • Identify the underlying cause of interstitial lung disease (autoimmune, allergic, infectious, or sarcoid-related).
  • Guide diagnosis and management of ILD and related systemic disorders.
  • Detect early signs of autoimmune disorders even before symptoms fully develop.
  • Differentiate between idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and secondary causes of ILD.

It allows for a systematic approach to diagnosing complex ILD cases rather than ordering multiple individual tests.

Who should get this COMPREHENSIVE ILD SCREEN PANEL test?

This COMPREHENSIVE ILD SCREEN PANEL test is recommended for individuals who have:

  • Unexplained shortness of breath, dry cough, or fatigue
  • Abnormal chest X-ray or HRCT scan showing interstitial changes or fibrosis
  • Suspected autoimmune or connective tissue disease–related ILD
  • Occupational or environmental exposure history leading to lung inflammation
  • Clinical suspicion of sarcoidosis, rheumatoid arthritis–associated ILD, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, or vasculitis

More Information

OTHER NAMES: ILD Diagnostic Panel, Autoimmune and Hypersensitivity Lung Disease Panel, Interstitial Lung Disease Screening Profile

Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) is a broad term for a group of more than 200 lung disorders that cause inflammation and scarring (fibrosis) of the lung’s interstitium — the thin tissue around the air sacs (alveoli).
This scarring makes the lungs stiff and less able to expand, leading to breathing difficulty and reduced oxygen exchange.

Causes of ILD

ILD can be caused by several factors, including:

  • Autoimmune diseases: Rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, lupus
  • Chronic infections: Tuberculosis, fungal infections
  • Environmental or occupational exposure: Moldy hay, silica, asbestos, bird droppings
  • Medications or radiation therapy
  • Idiopathic (unknown cause): Known as Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)
  • Sarcoidosis or hypersensitivity pneumonitis
