Protein Electrophoresis Reflex to Immunofixation

This test detects abnormal protein bands in the blood (from protein electrophoresis). If abnormal bands are observed, the sample is further analyzed using immunofixation to identify specific monoclonal proteins, often used in diagnosing multiple myeloma or other blood disorders.
