The HPV DUO test detects two high-risk strains of human papillomavirus (HPV), namely HPV-16 and HPV-18, which are responsible for the majority of cervical cancers. This test is used for screening women at risk of cervical cancer. Early detection can aid in preventive measures such as vaccination and early treatment.
