What is the Cytomegalovirus DNA Detection test?

A molecular diagnostic test called the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA Detection test is used to find CMV DNA in bodily fluids like blood or urine. CMV is a herpes virus that can seriously harm transplant recipients, immunocompromised people, and newborns.
