What is the MDR-TB Rapid Genotypic Test?

The MDR-TB Rapid Genotypic Test detects mutations in the Mycobacterium tuberculosis genome that confer resistance to rifampicin and isoniazid, the two most critical first-line anti-TB drugs. It identifies multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) quickly, enabling timely treatment modifications.

How is the test performed?
