CD5 is a marker found on T-cells and certain B-cells, particularly in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It aids in the diagnosis and classification of lymphoid malignancies, especially T-cell lymphomas and CLL. CD5 is also used to assess the immunophenotype of B-cell and T-cell neoplasms.
