CYTOKERATIN 20

Cytokeratin 20 is a marker for epithelial cells, particularly those of the gastrointestinal tract and urothelium. This test is useful in diagnosing colorectal carcinomas and distinguishing them from other adenocarcinomas. It is also used in the identification of Merkel cell carcinoma and bladder cancer.
