CALRETENIN

Calretinin is a calcium-binding protein expressed in mesothelial cells and certain types of tumors, including mesotheliomas. This test helps diagnose mesothelioma and other cancers of the serosal surfaces. It can also aid in differentiating mesothelioma from adenocarcinoma.
