- Apa (phospholipid) - Iga (serum, Eia)
This test measures IgA-class antiphospholipid antibodies in the blood, which may be present in autoimmune conditions like antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).
It is used to evaluate unexplained blood clotting, recurrent miscarriages, or autoimmune disorders where APS is suspected.
A blood sample is tested using enzyme immunoassay (EIA) to detect IgA antibodies against phospholipid antigens.
Elevated IgA levels may support the diagnosis of APS but must be confirmed with repeat testing and clinical findings.
No special preparation is needed for this blood test.
