Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg), Rapid

It is a qualitative test used to detect Hepatitis b surface antigen in serum. it is the first serological marker to be detected at approximately 6-16 weeks after HBV infection. in typical HBV infection HBsAg will be detected 2-4 weeks before the liver enzymes become abnormal and 3-5 weeks before patient develops jaundice
