Frequently Asked Questions

This flow cytometry test measures the expression of CD23, a low-affinity receptor for IgE, on B lymphocytes in peripheral blood.

It is useful in the immunophenotyping of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and other lymphoproliferative disorders.

A blood sample is collected and labeled with fluorescent antibodies against CD23. Flow cytometry is used to quantify expression.

High or low expression of CD23 may support or rule out specific B-cell disorders. It is interpreted alongside other markers.

No special preparation is required. A routine blood draw is sufficient.
