CD63 is a marker expressed on activated granulocytes, macrophages, and mast cells. This test is helpful in diagnosing mast cell neoplasms, such as mastocytosis, and assessing immune activation. CD63 is also useful in studying certain types of leukemia and myeloproliferative disorders.
