Chronic Lymphoproliferative Disorders

This panel evaluates genetic markers associated with chronic lymphoproliferative disorders (CLPD), such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It helps diagnose CLPD, monitor progression, and guide treatment choices.

Chronic Lymphoproliferative Disorders Package in Bengaluru Overview

What is Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test?

Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorders (CLPDs) are a group of diseases where there is an abnormal, usually clonal, proliferation of lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). CLPDs are characterized by persistent lymphocytosis (increased lymphocyte count) and may involve lymph nodes, bone marrow, spleen, and peripheral blood. These disorders are usually indolent (slow-progressing) but can become aggressive over time.

Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test evaluates blood or bone marrow samples to detect and characterize chronic lymphoproliferative disorders (CLPDs).  Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test uses techniques such as flow cytometry, immunophenotyping, cytogenetics, and molecular genetic testing. It helps identify the specific type of CLPD by analyzing surface markers on lymphocytes and detecting genetic abnormalities.

Why consider Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test?

Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test can be considered for

  • To diagnose and classify chronic lymphoproliferative disorders, such as Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), Small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), Hairy cell leukemia and Other mature B-cell or T-cell neoplasms
  • To differentiate CLPD from reactive lymphocytosis (non-cancerous causes of increased lymphocytes).
  • To guide treatment decisions and prognosis based on subtype and genetic findings.
  • To monitor disease progression or response to therapy.

Who should get tested for Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test?

Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test can be recommended for

  • Patients with persistent lymphocytosis or abnormal lymphocyte populations on blood tests.
  • Individuals with symptoms suggestive of lymphoproliferative disease (fatigue, enlarged lymph nodes, unexplained infections).
  • Patients diagnosed with or suspected to have chronic lymphoid malignancies.
  • Patients undergoing treatment monitoring or relapse evaluation.

More Information about Chronic Lymphoproliferative disorder panel test

Other Names: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia panel, Lymphoproliferative disorder immunophenotyping, CLPD diagnostic panel, Flow cytometry for lymphoid neoplasms, CLPD Panel, Chronic Lymphoproliferative Disorders Panel, CLL Immunophenotyping, Flow Cytometry for Lymphoid Malignancies, B-cell/T-cell Lymphoproliferative Disorder Panel.

Chronic Lymphoproliferative Disorders are a group of slow-growing (chronic) hematologic malignancies involving the abnormal proliferation of mature lymphocytes—usually B-cells, but sometimes T-cells or NK cells.
